Join us for this special community care event centering all who organize, volunteer, contribute, create, support and provide care. Let’s come together for this opportunity to reset within an intentional, calming, grounding, interwoven circle.

The theme for this evening is weaving together the stories, fabrics and handicrafts that connect us, protect us, and keep our cultures and heritages alive. I will bring in stories of traditional Filipino weaving and I welcome those joining to bring in their own cultural textile heritages.

Along with sharing stories of weaving, I will guide us through meditative, mindful and somatic exercises. Together we will create space for whatever is present and all that needs to be said, felt and grounded. You will leave with some reflections and tools to support you as you take care of many, tending to the fabric of our neighborhoods, communities, and larger society.

All are welcome, all backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome. If you have mobility issues, get in touch directly. Our venue is unfortunately not barrier free.

Schedule:

18:30-19:00 Mindful and somatic practices as a group

19:00-19:45 Weaving together stories and cultural practices of weaving and embroidery, and sharing

19:45-20:30 Enjoying the buffet we create together

You are welcome to arrive from 18:15 on, so we can start at 18:30 settled and fuss-free.

What to bring:

·a story or cloth, fabric, embroidery from your personal heritage/inheritance

·a journal or notebook and a pen

· something yummy to share (plant based or veggie please)

·optionally, you may bring a blanket or something cozy like thick socks.

Tea, water, a number of cushions and ample seating are provided.

Entry:
Donation based, suggested sliding scale 5-15 Euro and at your discretion. Your presence is most important. Donations support reSource and this work.
